Less from Shoes

After yesterday's seminar, I spent a little time looking at recent minimalist running articles. I found this great post from UVA Speed Clinic called Less from Your Shoes, More from Your Feet. It makes a point related to the talk yesterday - don't go out cold turkey for minimalist running.

Overall, this article says to work on strength and joint mobility first and only then assess if minimal or barefoot running is good for your body. I'm really liking this method of thinking. A friend gave me the book 'Born to Run' and I think that'll be my next read. I keep hearing tidbits about it, and I'm finally curious enough to give it a shot.

This was a super short post but I really wanted to remember and share this article.
